Here is Coatings World’s weekly recap of the most-viewed news stories on our site for the week ending August 29, 2026.
First up this week, Dutch Boy Paints announced Deep Rooted (311-7DB) as its 2027 Color of the Year. Next, Surventis announced a partnership with WorldSkills International as a Global Industry Partner and Silver Partner of the 48th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai, China. Surventis also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with NST to support the development of automated painting applications in the automotive refinish industry. Nippon Paint Holdings will reacquire shares in its European automotive coatings business, which was previously transferred to the Wuthelam Group. Lastly, CHINACOAT2026 is scheduled to take place in Area A of the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, P.R. China from Nov. 11-13, marking its 30th anniversary.
